1.1 Your Dog Walker and its employees will provide services as detailed in this agreement in a reliable and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives any and all claims against Your Dog Walker or its employees, unless arising from gross negligence on the part of Your Dog Walker. Client agrees to notify Your Dog Walker of any concerns within 24 hours of returning home.
1.2 Your Dog Walker cannot be held responsible for pets that bite, suffer an accidental death or escape from faulty fencing or from inside the home due to faulty windows, doors, etc.
1.3 Your Dog Walker cannot be held responsible for any complications pets may suffer or actions of pets while they are unattended.
1.4 Your Dog Walker or its employees shall not be held responsible for the loss, injury, death, or actions of any pet that the client has let outside or had instructed Your Dog Walker to allow outside while Your Dog Walker is not there. This includes pets with dog/cat flaps and outdoor pets.
1.5 The client understands that all pets must have a vet and must be up to date with their vaccinations including Kennel Cough. Client agrees to reimburse Your Dog Walker for all costs (including, but not limited to, medical care and lost wages) associated with contracting any ailments while working with your pet(s).
1.6 Your Dog Walker will not provide services for acutely ill animals or those with uncontrolled medical conditions. We suggest the pet be boarded with a vet.
1.7 Your Dog Walker does not accept aggressive animals. Client agrees to be responsible for all costs (including, but not limited to, medical care, legal fees, etc.) if client’s pet should hurt or injure another person or animal.
1.8 Your Dog Walker will not walk unruly or untrained dogs or dogs which choke themselves on their lead. All pets must be walked on a lead, unless off lead walking has been authorised by the owner and local restrictions will always be observed in this respect.
1.9 Your Dog Walker does not diagnose, prognose, or make therapy decisions, nor does it offer veterinary services. All medical concerns should be referred to a vet.
1.10 Job sharing is not covered under our insurance. Your Dog Walker cannot be responsible for your pet or home if another service provider enters your property while we are not there.
2.0 Cancellation Policy
2.1 Cancellation notifications must be received within 48 hours of scheduled visit or a cancellation fee equivalent to the cost of the service may be charged.
2.2 Your Dog Walker reserves the right to deny service, or terminate service because of safety concerns, financial concerns, or inappropriate or uncomfortable situations.
3.0 Business Hours
Your working hours are our working hours and services are usually completed during the anticipated time unless we are unavoidably behind schedule. Your Dog Walker cannot guarantee time specific calls. A 2 hour window is to be expected.
4.0 Payment Policy
4.1 Payment for all services must be received in advance except by prior arrangement. All cheques must be supported with a valid cheque guarantee card.
4.2 Your Dog Walker reserves the right to levy a charge of £10.00 in addition to any charges levied by their bankers relating to returned cheques. Such charges, and unpaid fees, shall become immediately due upon notification and all services withdrawn until full settlement is received.
5.0 Service Provision
Your Dog Walker is a family business and therefore there may be times when we will be unable to provide the agreed service(s). We aim to give all of our customers a minimum of 28 day’s notice, but sometimes events outside of our control e.g. illness may prevent us from doing so. In circumstances such as these we will endeavour to put you in contact with an alternative service provider. Your Dog Walker cannot accept responsibility if alternative arrangements cannot be put in place.
